When I decided to transfer to Oklahoma, I knew I wanted to become a health + wellness coach. And I could have started this process a lot sooner, but I’m honestly so thankful for the path the Lord has brought me down because I know that through it I’ve developed enough mentally to know how capable + confident I am to take this step. 2020 is the year I become a certified wellness coach!!!!!

SEMI-LONG POST WARNING, BUT PLEASE READ!!! 💞 These pictures were taken almost 3 years ago, but I'll never be able to look at them and not remember how overwhelmed with anxiety + sadness I was. It's easy to mask mental pain, especially when it feels like the world around us is spinning off its axis. I wanted to use today to remind you that while physical health is SO important right now with the current pandemic, YOUR MENTAL HEALTH IS STILL IMPORTANT TOO. Social distancing is key right now, but I know firsthand that it's also dangerous for those of us that easily lose ourselves in our own minds and detach from reality without people around to anchor us down. So if you struggle with anxiety, depression — anything! — take care of your mind. Facetime loved ones, take a walk, meditate, but most importantly: don’t convince yourself your mental health doesn’t matter right now because it DOES and it ALWAYS will. And if you're fortunate to not struggle with mental health, take this as a reminder to check-in with your friends that you know do. Just because we have to be distanced physically doesn't mean we need to be emotionally + spiritually. Take care of yourself, take care of others, and take care of your mind.
