I knew this day would come eventually, but I am so excited to announce that my first YouTube video is officially LIVE! 2019 has already been a huge year for the blog with over 2,150 views in January. Perhaps a small feat to some, but I could not help but be blown away by the Lord’s goodness as His hand has become so evidently present in The Southern Sooner’s growth.Continue reading “the southern sooner takes on youtube!”
Hello my loves! I’ve had a lot of requests for routine-type posts, but truthfully I feel like it took me until the last few months to get a truly good routine going. I remember when I graduated college I thought it would be so easy to have a routine when it was the same schedule every day, no homework to come home to, or whatever the case might have been, but I found that finding my “adult” routine took a lot of trial and error. Also, with all my skincare changes between treating acne, Accutane, and now coming off Accutane, I haven’t been sticking with one particular routine for long, so I waned to make sure I found the skincare + beauty products that I knew I wanted to stick with before sharing. And I’m so excited because I have the opportunity to host another giveaway here on The Southern Sooner – so be sure to keep reading for details!Continue reading “my evening routine: skincare + at-home teeth whitening”
As of my december raves + rejects post from the other day, The Southern Sooner has officially hit 100 posts! And in honor of 2018 coming to a close, I want to round up some of my favorite posts from the year – so if this is the first Southern Sooner post you’re seeing, or you haven’t had a chance to keep up with posts, here are some of the one’s I personally think are a must-see! It might feel like there are a lot, but this will help you find some of the more substantial posts among the recurring accutane updates, habit trackers, gift guides, and raves + rejects!Continue reading “fave posts of 2018”
All I have to say is that the Christmas hangover is r e a l this year, you guys! This Christmas was a little different than most because my grandparents got to spend their holiday with my cousin on the west coast. I can definitely speak for the rest of my family when I say their presence was missed, but we had a really good time celebrating just the five of us. It’s certainly left me feeling so so so blessed.
But now it’s time for another month of raves + rejects! The raves were certainly easy to do, but the rejects were hard to decide on since I’ve been in Texas – away from Oklahoma where all the items I consider a “reject” are – so I couldn’t simply sort through my things and go, “oh yeah, I don’t like this” lol. But somehow, I managed. this post includes affiliate links, meaning, at no cost to you, I will earn commission if you click through and make a purchase.
stocking stuffers can be so fun and easy, but sometimes I feel like I need help finding things that are cute/good quality but still are stocking stuffer material – both in price and size!
this is always a fun gift guide to do because I love getting all the fun workout stuff. I feel like I could go for days with gifts between outfits, shoes, accessories, useful things to have on hand, but I try to not overload you all (and my graphic designer) t o o much!
but if you have a fitness guru in your life or know someone who’s ready to hit the ground running with their new years goals for 2019, here’s the gift guide to get them started, plus some honorable mentions!
happy sunday, lovelies! this post is a day late (it’s been a long weekend for me and I spaced on getting it done when I needed to!) but here is this season’s f i r s t gift guide on the southern sooner! I pulled these items from my own wish list for the most part, some are things I already own and absolutely love! so if you’re needing to get any ideas for a friend, sister, girlfriend, etc – you’ve come to the right place! this post includes affiliate links, meaning, at no cost to you, I will earn commission if you click through and make a purchase.Continue reading “gift guide for her”
