worship playlist for the weary spirit

I know for the most part, everything surrounding this time of year is pretty positive and upbeat. But, I also know that no everyone welcomes new years with open arms for reasons of their own. Or, if you’re like me, you welcome it enthusiastically but after a little while feel the weight from stress of all the goals you set for yourself and just how much decluttering you have to do in your life, whether it be physical or mental. So, while the new year is exciting, sometimes it comes with a new set of challenges and setbacks that can feel heavy and tiring. 2020 is going to be a year of clarity and cleaning out for me – and I’ll be honest, in that process, the year isn’t exactly starting out exactly how I would have liked it to. Making the change you need to see isn’t always pretty, nor is it always easy. So much of this year has already been so draining; both physically, mentally, and spiritually. I find myself just wanting to spend quiet time with God – to vent, to talk, to cry, to not say a word at all; to be frustrated, to be excited; to hope for the future, to reminisce on what’s passed. I know I like a particular ambiance when I’m in a place where I need some calming time with God, so I wanted to share my playlist with y’all. I hope it helps you find peace within yourself and His presence ♡
