Y’all, I’m so excited to share this post with you because it is my FIRST fashion-related post ever on The Southern Sooner! With Valentine’s day being right around the corner I thought I would bring a little somethin’ somethin’ to any of you that are looking for some cute + casual Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration!
If you’re in the Norman/OKC area and looking for a photographer, definitely be sure to get in contact with my friend Kayla. She did such a great job making me feel more comfortable in front of the camera and does such amazing work, even with short notice + limited space to work with.

I love piko dresses – they’re so comfortable, soft, and flowy and can be dressed up + dressed down so easily for any occasion! So if you’re going out with your boo to do something nice or if you’re doing something a little more laid back, this piko dress is incredibly versatile and can fit any date night (it’s good, too, if your date is planning to surprise you for the night and you aren’t sure how to dress!)

You can never go wrong with a little blush, especially on Valentine’s Day! It can easily be worn by itself or paired with a kimono + cardigan.

If you’re not about wearing pinks or reds as the main part to your ensemble, you can’t go wrong with white and pairing it with pink + red accents (cardigans, kimonos, jewelry, bandeaus, bralettes, purses, etc).

This is clearly on more of the formal side, but it’s not over-the-top formal. This dress only needs minimal accessorizing so you can go for a simple, more sophisticated look.

This is one of my go-to outfits – I love the color of the dress and it paired with a simple cardigan + Converse give it a nice comfy, casual vibe. Another great one for a more laid-back night out!

So for my first swing at a fashion related post, I hope I did okay! I apologize for not being able to link the exact dresses + cardigans as most of these clothes have been in my closet since last spring and a lot of them are no longer available. But if it helped you to be able figure out a vibe/outfit you want to wear for your Valentine’s Day celebrations, then I suppose I did my job. Let me know if you’re interested in seeing more posts like this in the future!
